Oluwafemi Obajuluwa
Experienced Fullstack Software Engineer specializing in building mobile and web applications
About Me
Hi, My name is Oluwafemi. I am a fullstack Software Engineer. I have always been fascinated by computers and while I was little, I saw myself as an adult that would probably tinker with a lot of gadgets.
Well, I'm not far from that life now.
While I am not tinkering with gadgets…yet, my fascination for computers and love for video games has brought me to the point of helping over a thousand people from around the world enjoy their passion and make a beautiful life.
I built Picashot, a virtual gaming photography platform, while I was 21, knowing only Kotlin and being able to build Android apps. However, the growth has been phenomenal — 100,000+ photos from users across the globe in 3 years. 12-year-old me is so proud to have been able to bring my love for computers + video games to build a safe space for gamers who take great photos of their games.
The growth wasn't only outward. Working and building a growing brand like Picashot helped me grow as a developer. I went from working only on Android app development to web development to backend programming to cross-platform mobile app development. And so, I have been able to work in diverse industries such as e-commerce, finance, art & more, making day-to-day living easy for people all over the world. That has been a joy.
Speaking of growth, self improvement is always a huge part of me, and my work with Cara is a result of this. Cara is a portfolio platform for digital artists founded by Jingna Zhang and developed by a small team of fullstack devs and working tirelessly to build a reliable platform for artists outside of the reach of AI. Being someone passionate about the intersection of art, authenticity and AI, I reached out to Jingna to help with this product she was building. Since Cara was only available on web at the time, I put my skills to use along with other talented team members to develop the mobile app from scratch for Android and iOS. Today, Cara runs on over 1 million devices on both platforms.
I've written and shared articles detailing my experiences and challenges I've had while working on projects for fun. You'll find all of that right here
